The Shape of an Episode

Twelve minutes, same rhythm every week

Listeners come back when they know exactly what the next twelve minutes will feel like. Every episode follows this arc:

0:00The hook — one question worth sitting with. 0:30Welcome — theme music and "The Good News, with Pastor Andrew Husbands." 0:45The Word — the week's passage, and one truth drawn from it. 8:00This week's challenge — one concrete way to live it before next Wednesday. 10:00Prayer — a prayer spoken over every listener. The signature of the show. 11:15The sign-off — "And that — is the Good News."

What we need from you

  • Bless the name. "The Good News with Pastor Andrew Husbands" — say it out loud a few times. If it sits right in your spirit, we lock it in and everything else begins.
  • About 90 minutes a week. One recording sitting (we'll batch several episodes a month), plus a five-minute approval from your phone before anything is published. The team handles everything else — editing, publishing, and social media.
  • Pick your room. A small, quiet, carpeted room with soft furnishings — a study or home office is perfect. We'll set up the rest.
  • Start jotting. As you read John, note the one truth and the one challenge for each "I Am." The outlines can be three bullet points on an index card — the show is you talking, not you reading.
